Baklava is good. It's good for you. But when it's made at home, it's the best. And it doesn't have to be my house that makes it. It can be anywhere. It can be anywhere. Baklava made at home usually tastes better than the baklava you buy at the store. It has more flavor, freshness, and something else.
In Pawhuska, Oklahoma, I don't buy a lot of baklavas. Nonetheless.

Baking and Presentation
It's an art to get that right golden and crisp texture. Here are some tips to help you make better Baklava:
Watch the oven carefully so that it doesn't get too brown.
Try putting together different kinds of nuts to get a unique flavor.
To make the Baklava look nicer, sprinkle it with a small amount of freshly chopped nuts.
For a full taste experience at your holiday table, serve your Christmas Baklava with a fresh cup of coffee or a glass of dessert wine.
Storage and Leftovers
Don't worry if, by some chance, you have extra food. How to keep them:
Put plastic wrap or foil over the Baklava to keep it from drying out.
Keep at room temperature for up to a week, or put in the fridge to keep fresh longer.
For longer keeping, you could freeze individual pieces. Make sure they are well wrapped to keep them from getting freezer burn.
Your “paper” instructions are hard to follow! Repeat what… not too clear. At least speak to us who doesn’t know a blank thing! You talk like I’ve made Bach all my life.!!
Yes mam’ I agree , since we ended up in a skillet, did not understand it, how many sheets of Phyllo dough do you use
They were great instuctions.Love this yummy.
I agree, the Recipe is not very clear. It doesn’t even mentioned about the Pecans. Then you mentioned about butter a 9 x 13 baking ,dish and then placing 2 sheets of paper on the bottom of the dish. It clearly does not make any sense. Thanks anyway . I’ll try to find another recipe.
