To Make Cheese twisted bread You’ll Need The Following Ingredients:
7g dry yeast.
375g (1 ⅝ cup) flour.
3g (1 tsp) salt.
180ml (¾ cup) warm milk.
1 egg.
45g (¼ cup) butter, melted.
3 tbsp chopped parsley.
125g (1 cup) shredded cheese.
Egg wash.
Softened butter.
How To Make Cheese twisted bread ?
- Make a well in the center of the flour and salt mixture and add the yeast, sugar, milk, butter, and egg.
- Whisk together all of the liquids, then begin adding the flour from the sides.
- When the dough comes together in lumps, knead it until smooth, shape it into a ball, and set aside for 1 hour.
- Divide the dough into quarters and roll each one into a ball before rolling it out into a rectangle. Brush two rectangles with butter, top with cheese and parsley, and cover with two more layers of dough.
- Roll the dough slightly with a rolling pin before cutting it into strips. Gather strips in twos, sandwiching more butter between them.
- Twist each pair of strips as demonstrated in the video. Set aside for 20 minutes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush with egg wash and bake for 25 minutes at 180°C/350°F.
