CAN DIFFERENT PIE FILLINGS BE USED?
We absolutely adored these! The best part is that you can customize the filling to your family's preferences. There are so many opportunities here. You may use Apple, Blueberry, Strawberry, Lemon, and Chocolate fillings!
Ingredients :
- 21 ounce can cherry pie filling
- 2 (8 ounce) tubes crescent roll dough
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1-2 tablespoons milk
HOW TO MAKE CHERRY PIE BITES:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Spray a standard muffin tin with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Unroll individual pieces of crescent roll dough and place them in individual muffin tins. Place the dough's widest portion at the bottom.
- Place pie filling in each piece of crescent roll dough. Be generous with the filling of the pie. It is acceptable for some liquid to escape during baking. Three to four tablespoons should suffice.
- Beginning as best you can, fold the dough around the filling while pulling the three corners.
- Bake for approximately 13 to 14 minutes.
- Whisk together powdered sugar and milk in a bowl until the mixture is smooth and reaches the desired consistency.
- Pour glaze with a spoon over the warm bites.
Notes :
Ensure that the rolls are fully cooked. You do not want to bite into these and find some of the crescent rolls still doughy and unbaked. They should feel fairly firm and have attractive, tan-colored tops.
