How To make Easy No-Bake Chocolate Oat Bars
Ingredients
- 1 cup of butter
- ½ cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp pure vanilla essencet
- 3 cups rolled oats
- ½ tsp cinnamon powder
- ¼ tsp kosher salt
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- ¾ cup chunky peanut butter
Instructions
- Set aside an 8-inch-by-8-inch baking dish lined with parchment paper.
- Combine the butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract in a medium saucepan. Heat on low heat until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves.
- Combine the oats, cinnamon, and kosher salt in a mixing bowl. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Half of the oat mixture should be placed in the prepared baking dish. Spread the mixture evenly and press it down.
- Combine the chocolate chips and peanut butter in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in increments of 40 seconds on high, stirring after each increment, until melted and fully combined.
- Pour ⅘ of the chocolate mixture over the pressed oats, reserving about ¼ cup for drizzling.Top with the remaining oatsand and Drizzle with the remaining ¼ cup chocolate mixture.
- Keep it in the fridge for 4 hours, or until completely set.

How are you supposed to cook the oats, salt, and cinnamon for 4 mins? Do you add them to the butter mixture or toast them separately?
I am lost on this part, too!
Not the recipe writer but lots of variations of this recipe are online. I’m guessing, after mixing oats, cinnamon and salt, add to the butter mixture and cook on low heat for 4-5 minutes, stirring frequently.
