You’ll need the following ingredients :
2 pounds carrots, sliced
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon white pepper
Minced fresh parsley, optional
How to make Candied Carrots ?
- Add 1 inch of water to the carrots in a large pot. Get it to boil. Turn down the heat, cover, and simmer for 8–10 minutes, or until the vegetables are crisp-tender. Drain and put away.
- Mix the butter, brown sugar, salt, and pepper in the same pan. Cook and stir until the butter is melted. Bring the carrots back to the pan and cook and stir them for 5 minutes over medium heat, or until they are glazed. If you want, you can sprinkle parsley on top.
