- 50 Oreo cookies
- 2 ½ cups 2% milk
- ½ cup melted unsalted butter
- 1 250 g package cream cheese softened to room temperature
- 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
- 2 tubs Cool Whip
- 2 packages instant chocolate pudding 4-serving packs
Instructions
- Begin preparing a 9″ x 13″ baking dish
- Utilize a food processor to grind Oreos into fine crumbs. Set aside ¾ cup of the crushed Oreos for the toppings.
- Stir together the remaining crushed Oreos and melted butter.
- Press the Oreo and butter mixture into the prepared dish's bottom. Place this for a few minutes in the freezer while you prepare the next layer.
- Cream cheese and confectioners sugar are combined and beaten until smooth.
- Mix 1 package of Cool Whip into the cream cheese mixture for 30 seconds (do not overmix).
- Layer the cream cheese mixture with care over the Oreo Crust. Drop the cream cheese mixture evenly across the top of the crust so that it can be spread evenly. You don't want to spread this out too much, or the Oreo base will begin to separate.
- Beat the milk and dry pudding mixtures in a different bowl. About a two-minute beat.
- Over the cream cheese layer, evenly spread the pudding.
- Sprinkle the remaining Oreo crumbs on top after spreading the second package of Cool Whip over it.
- Refrigerate for at least 6 hours before cutting.
Notes
- The crust should be frozen to help it stay together so that the filling can be spread on it.
- Use completely softened cream cheese to ensure no lumps when mixing with the sugar.
- Fold the Cool Whip layer gently so that the air does not escape.
