Recipe A light and flavorful dessert with a shortbread crust are called Lemon Lush Dessert. This Lemon Lush recipe is the best of all thanks to its layers of shortbread, cream cheese, lemon pudding, and fresh whipped cream.
Ingredients :
Crust:
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Cheese Cream Filling :
- 2 (8-ounce) packages of cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
Pudding Layer:
- 3 cups milk
- 2 (3.4-ounce packages) instant lemon pudding
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
How to make it :
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- For the crust, pulse the flour and butter in a food processor until a dough forms. Add the pecans and mix until they are all mixed in. If you don't have a good food processor, you can cut the butter into the flour with a pastry cutter or two forks. After the butter is cut in, add the pecans.
- The mixture should be pressed into the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the top is just a little bit golden. Let the crust cool. While the crust is in the oven, get the other layers ready.
- For the cream cheese layer, mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and lemon juice in a medium bowl until the mixture is smooth. Spread evenly on top of the crust after it has cooled.
- For the pudding layer, beat the lemon pudding and milk together for 3 to 5 minutes in a separate bowl. If the mixture isn't thick enough yet, put it in the fridge for a little while. When it's mostly set, spread it over the cream cheese layer.
- For the Whipped Cream, beat the heavy cream and powdered sugar together until soft peaks form. Put on top of the pudding mixture.
- Cool the dessert until it's time to serve.
