How to make Ultimate Halloween Cheesecake?
For the cake layer, preheat the oven to 350°F and flour a 9-inch springform cake pan.
Follow the directions on the box to make the cake batter. Pour your batter into the cake pan that has been set up.
Bake between 30 and 32 minutes.
Let the cake cool for a few minutes in the pan, then take it out and use a cake leveler to make sure the top is even and flat.
The cheesecake layer is made by:
With a hand mixer or a stand mixer with a paddle attachment, beat cream cheese and sugar for 3 minutes in a large bowl until fluffy and mixed.
Add eggs, one a time, until combined.
Add the sour cream, flour, vanilla, and salt, and mix until everything is well mixed.
Pour the filling into a SEPARATE 9-inch springform pan, line it with parchment paper, and bake for about 1 hour, or until the center is just slightly jiggly.
Let it cool a little bit, then put it in the freezer to firm up and cool completely before putting it on top of the funfetti cake layer. If you need or want even layers, use the cake leveler again.
Add all the ingredients to a mixing bowl to make whipped frosting.
Mix the ingredients by hand with a large balloon whisk for about five minutes, or until soft peaks start to form.
When the cream has formed soft peaks and sticks to the whisk, the whipped cream is ready.
Be careful not to whisk too much. Carefully put the cheesecake layer on top of the cake.
Then, put a layer of whipped cream on top of the cheesecake.
Use a pastry tip to make little dollops of whipped cream around the edge.
Add Halloween sprinkles to the top and serve.
